Celestial gifts....

I am not a material person. If my basic needs are met, I'm happy and thankful. However, I do take great delight in gifts of nature. Most days I receive smiles on the drive to work. A deer here, a fox there, a beautiful tree, a rainbow.... Simple things.

Last night I was driving home from school around 9:30. The sky was so very clear - a velvety deep navy with a spattering of the brightest stars. Looking at the stars took me back to a place when I was young. I remember lying on a blanket with my cousins in the front yard of my grandparents' house looking at the stars, trying to find the big dipper and various other formations. It was a happy memory that brought joy to my heart.

As I got closer to home, I was greeted with the most amazing moon. It hung huge in the sky, with only the bottom half visable. It was also an undescribable shade of orange....close to faded UT orange I suppose. As time passed, the orange eventually faded into a bright yellow/white color. Simply beautiful.

What would the world be like if we all took time to appreciate what surrounds us rather than working ourselves to death for material gain?

Oh my, the Bendy returns with a vengence. The sky has been absolutely stunning this past week. I enjoy the voyage in and out of town. Glad someone else is looking up too.
