Thought "PROVOKING"

I read the Daily News Journal online to check out what's going on in my neck of the woods. Usually, it's not a whole heck of a lot, which is why I don't purchase a subscription to the paper. After each article, there's an opportunity for comments/feedback. If used correctly, this would be a great venue to gather information and check out the feelings of the local demographic.

In some instances, this is the case. Unfortunately, in most instances, the "pot stirrers" take over. This is especially the case if the article is regarding illegals or something to do with city council. These "pot stirrers" show no mercy, making statements with the sole intention of getting a rise out of someone. In many cases, what they've stated is not even their belief, but utilized to get temperatures raised and get a bite back.

This is becoming more and more of a common theme in feedback forums. If you have killed some time browsing Craig's List, you'll see plenty of pot stirrers at work. For about a minute, it can be entertaining. However, for me, I find it a ridiculous waste of time. The effort could be put toward serious informative conversations where parties could actually have a thought provoking read.

And that's my thought for the day.....

Hmm...so should pot stirrers be held as accountable as pot sellers and users?

Great observation. It seems today that people think being obnoxious and loud is the only way you can get your point across.
