So I went on a cruise with 4 friends. To go on vacation and be in close quarters for a week, it is best to make sure you like each other.

Two flew to Tampa the morning of the 12th. The other 3 of us took to the highway around 2:15 that afternoon. Road trips are always fun.... unless one of the parties is drinking Crown and Dr. Pepper and needs to stop every hour for a potty break. Thankfully he passed out I mean fell asleep and the rest of the drive went smoothly.

We spent the night at a hotel with all 5 present and accounted for, then hit the ship the next day around 11:00. If you have never been on a cruise ship, you must do it at some point in your life. The people watching alone is worth the trip.

The first day we spent at sea. Nothing but sun and frosty beverages!! Baking to a golden brown while laughing with friends is simply the best. The next day we had a stop in Grand Caymen, which was very beautiful. The shops were neat and the white sand and blue blue crystal clear water were breath taking. Unfortunately, we were only there a short while.

Tuesday we hit port in Calica Mexico. Being an industrial area, there is nothing there...nothing. This means a taxi ride to Playa Del Carmen. We had to divide into two taxis for about a 15 minute trek. Once in town, we hit the shops. First stop....tequilla shopping! We hit what seemed to be a million stores (though I'm sure it was more like 10.)

Then we hit the beach. Again....beautiful sand and incredible water. We spent the majority of the day basking and swimming, then it was time to get back to the ship.

Wednesday was spent at sea again. Some of us (me) that were worn out and had had enough sun (me) spent some of the day napping in the cool of the cabin.

Dinners and laughter and dancing and comedy shows and music shows and sitting on deck and time spent on our balcony and much much more....

All too soon, it was time to go home...
