A work in progress.....

I have a weakness or three. I have a low tolerance for stupidity. I also have a low tolerance for those that rattle on nonstop without anything "of value" to say. I wrestled with this over the weekend.

I don't like feeling this way. I don't like the immediate urge I feel to turn my head and roll my eyes or to have the thought "give me a break...how stupid is that" running through my head. It's not NICE and I'm a nice person!

I started thinking about this shortcoming of mine over the weekend. Jesus doesn't roll his eyes or think "here we go again" when we talk to Him. He loves each and every one of us, warts and all. Thank goodness for THAT or I'd be in trouble BIGTIME.

So I'm working on being more tolerant of others...looking at others through Jesus eyes. It won't be easy, but I have a feeling it will be greatly rewarding :)

Giggles...

Cracking your ownself up is just the best, and I do it frequently.

My sister has two "wiener dawgs" named Max & Rudy. She was having a time keeping a collar on Max, because Rudy kept chewing them off of him, so she bought him this thin little leather collar with spikes. Okay...seeing a wiener dog sporting spikes is a giggle in itself.

**sidebar** My sister had noticed that a mouse had been stealing food from "the boys." We discussed this when I was at her house on vacation and I told her that if it didn't stop, the mouse was going to end up being as large as "the boys."

This morning, she noticed Max's spike collar was gone. Couldn't find it anywhere. I told her I bet the mouse was sporting it. She chimed in with "yeah and he's probably rapping at parties like the rat in "Barnyard." She also frequently cracks herself up. What can I say? We're an easy audience.

So somewhere out there, there is a mouse with a black leather spiked collar belting out "Back That Ass Up."
